Alumni board member, Ely Depina, represented team New Orleans at the International Youth Summit at Boston Greenfest last weekend! He shared his experience regarding the environment and service with visiting students all the way from India who also shared their environmental projects.
The group also had the opportunity to hear from Karen Weber, the director of Boston Greenfest, as well as a representative from the UN who reminded them that young people–their energy, creativity and dedication– are our most precious resource!
The intercultural dialogue was enriching and educational to all, and the students reinforced their commitment to learning about and protecting the environment– our second most precious resource!
