Students

It's up to you to change the world. Are you ready?

We know what Boston Public Schools students are capable of. Our programs will open your eyes to the world and the power of community service. You will learn entrepreneurial and leadership skills while serving your community in Boston and beyond. This is the adventure of a lifetime.

Service trip to The Dominican Republic 2025
“While working on different service projects, helping out at schools, painting, and organizing activities for the younger kids, I realized how capable I was. I learned how to take initiative, lead by example, and be part of something bigger than myself. I also gained more confidence by being able to speak Spanish with the locals, which made me feel even more connected to my culture. Every day, I felt like I was not only giving something, but also gaining something back: pride in who I am, a sense of belonging, and a stronger voice.”

Service trip to Puerto Rico – 2025
“Because of this trip, I’m now thinking about doing more community service in the future and maybe even looking into careers where I can help others. I might explore working in nonprofit organizations or community art programs. This trip helped me see that even small actions can leave a big impact, and I want to keep making that impact wherever I go.”

Service trip to Puerto Rico – 2025

“My attitude changed during the trip. Before the trip, I didn’t think I was going to finish the work I started. I thought I was going to be lazy and wake up late, but I actually woke up early, I did the work and felt proud about everything I did. What motivated me was the thought that I would eventually have to wake up and stay on track in college and work. I was also motivated by helping my own community in Puerto Rico, even though I also have a community here in Boston. In Puerto Rico, we don’t get much help from the government, so we do things ourselves, so it’s important to help one another.”

Where to begin?

Your teacher will apply to Quest for a specific theme and trip. Throughout the year you will fundraise and volunteer with your teammates in local communities. The Quest model means that you are invested in and part of the planning and preparation for your international or national service-learning trip.

Where will I go?

And then it’s time to travel!  During your April break or in June when school is out, you and your classmates will travel outside of Boston to work alongside members of a different community on a variety of projects. Explore our past trips!

What’s next?

Your adventure isn’t over when you get back though! Each team completes a final sustainable service project back in Boston. Quest students are committed to giving back where it counts: at home. You may also get the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program with Quest Adventures Alumni!

Quest Adventures, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has helped Boston students take domestic and international service trips since 2008.
